The lead programmer for ThompsonSoft is Brad Thompson, BS, MS. His resume site has full details about his work experience and academic credentials.

Brad Thompson started programming on a TI-300 programmable calculator in 1977. Since then he has worked as an electronics technician doing computer board design and build, PC programming in BASIC, RS232 communication between weigh scale systems and NCR serial tape drives and PC's and Mac's, PC and Mac repair and build, network administration, VAX administration, VAX programming (FORTRAN and DCL) and website design and programming.

Since 1997 Brad has worked as a software engineer. His main duties have been maintenance programming on a VAX in FORTRAN. He has also done some programming to make the legacy VAX talk to a Java based J2EE system.

Besides VAX programming Brad has been involved in web site programming and maintenance since 1999. On the Portfolio page you can see examples of some of his work.

In his spare time Brad likes to learn new languages and technologies, such as Sun's Glassfish app server, Python and the Django framework, and the latest Linux distributions.
